David joined New York Life as an agent in the Dallas General Office in March of 1987. He was promoted to Partner in December of 1990. David was offered the Managing Partner position in the New York Life Wichita, Kansas General Office in January of 1994 where he remained until his transfer to the Austin General Office in January 2001.

David was born and raised in Dallas, TX.   David graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1984 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He received a Master of Finance degree from North Texas State University in 1986. He spent four years working for an engineering firm that specialized in military manufacturing, specifically vibration isolation systems, and sound damping.
